Selena Gomez had recently made her red carpet debut at the Cannes Film Festival 2019 which is being currently held in France. The 26-year-old singer-songwriter had reached French Riviera for the world premiere of her next movie The Dead Don't Die. The actress took to her social media handle in order to share her pictures from there and in the caption to her post, announced that she is getting married to veteran actor and co-star Bill Murray. 

Taking to Instagram, where the I Can't Get Enough songstress shared a gallery post, she wrote in her caption, "My first time in Cannes! I’m so honored to have been a part of this movie with Jim and the whole cast. By the way Bill Murray and I are getting married."

To this, her fans had mixed reactions in the comments section on her Instagram post. While one fan commented, "About the marriage stuff she's joking right," another said, "Justin Bieber is feeling angry with Charlie Puth and 9 others."

Another fan tweeted (sic), "noooooo way.. you broke my heart.. he may be a good man to you .. but think about it.. OMG think about it...we love you.. but don't turn yourself in to this situation. . i hope your just joking."

Only recently, talking about his co-actor Selena to Vanity Fair, the 68-year-old actor had said, "I really like (her). She’s unusually bright. She’s kind and she’s natural. I’m always pleased to find some kind of pop icon who I really like." While some other fans were quick to assume and said with conviction that she was joking.
