Selena Gomez had recently made her red carpet debut at the Cannes Film Festival 2019 which is being currently held in France. The 26-year-old singer-songwriter had reached French Riviera for the world premiere of her next movie The Dead Don't Die. The actress took to her social media handle in order to share her pictures from there and in the caption to her post, announced that she is getting married to veteran actor and co-star Bill Murray. 

Taking to Instagram, where the I Can't Get Enough songstress shared a gallery post, she wrote in her caption, "My first time in Cannes! I’m so honored to have been a part of this movie with Jim and the whole cast. By the way Bill Murray and I are getting married."

To this, her fans had mixed reactions in the comments section on her Instagram post. While one fan commented, "About the marriage stuff she's joking right," another said, "Justin Bieber is feeling angry with Charlie Puth and 9 others."

Another fan tweeted (sic), "noooooo way.. you broke my heart.. he may be a good man to you .. but think about it.. OMG think about it...we love you.. but don't turn yourself in to this situation. . i hope your just joking."

Only recently, talking about his co-actor Selena to Vanity Fair, the 68-year-old actor had said, "I really like (her). She’s unusually bright. She’s kind and she’s natural. I’m always pleased to find some kind of pop icon who I really like." While some other fans were quick to assume and said with conviction that she was joking.

The Raees actress is perhaps prepping for a very busy schedule ahead of her. She will expectedly perform at pop sensation Justin Bieber's concert in India, which will be held as part of his Purpose Tour and is scheduled for May 10. "Her involvement should not come as a surprise, given that she is popular in India and overseas. In fact, a lot of big names are being considered," a source close to the organisers of the show told Mid-Day.

On a quest to light up the festival of Eid again, Salman Khan ushered his latest film Tubelight on the big screen this Friday.

With most of his blockbusters released during the Muslim festival, which marks the end of Ramadan, movie buffs were quite excited to get their dose of entertainment. However, it seems like the 51-year-old couldn’t create enough magic on the silver screen.

People came out on Twitter to express their disappointment after watching the film and confessed how the plot was weak and failed to touch a chord. What’s surprising is that even Shah Rukh Khan’s cameo couldn’t charm the spectators. Amid the mixed response on the social media networking site, a lot of trolls kept their game going strong with hilarious jokes and witty one-liners.

Khan plays the role of Laxman Singh Bisht, a child-like man, who is also called “tubelight” in the film. Also starring Sohail Khan, Matin Rey Tangu, Zhu Zhu, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, Om Puri, the film has been directed by Kabir Khan.

Erendira Wallenda Dangles by Teeth over Niagara Falls

Daredevil and professional aerialist Erendira Wallenda broke the world record Thursday for the highest suspension over Niagara Falls.

On the fifth anniversary of her husband of 17 years, Nik, walking over the waterfalls on a tight rope, Erendira hung by her teeth from an aerial hoop dangling approximately 300 feet above the thundering water.

Her act set a Guinness World Record for height, breaking the record Nik set when he hung from his teeth 250 feet above Silver Dollar City in Branson, Missouri.

Transported by a helicopter, Erendira sat in a hula hoop and performed multiple acrobatic flips before using only a mouth piece to suspend from the circle. She then hung upside down with her feet on the hoop before repeating the mouth stunt.

During her feat, her husband leaned face-first out of the helicopter with headphones on that allowed him to communicate with the pilot. She had a safety harness around her waist to comply with New York State law for stunts that occur more than 20 feet in the air.

The family has had safety issues in the past. In February, Nik Wallenda attempted to perform another high wire stunt with an eight-person pyramid. When some performers slipped, he and three others were able to catch the wire while the five remaining fell to the ground. In a press conference after Erendira’s successful stunt, Nik confirmed that despite suffering injuries, the five performers are already training or performing again.

In 1978, family member Karl Wallenda died in a high-wire accident while attempting to walk between two towers of the Condado Plaza Hotel located in San Juan, Puerto Rico, according to the Associated Press.

After her routine, Erendira waved to the crowd watching her with binoculars and cameras. While she sat in the hoop, the helicopter returned to the roof of the garage of the Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino.

Speaking with reporters afterward, Erendira said she couldn’t hear anything while dangling because she was listening to music.

“I just had to put myself back to my backyard training and I felt good enough that I was able to hang by my teeth a second time,” she said in a press conference to reporters. She said she did not anticipate the wind to make the hoop shake as much as it did.

Erendira has attempted stunts since she was 5 years old and said she hopes she can perform another act with her husband five years from now — or pass the tradition of daredevil feats on to the next generation.

“I probably would want to spend all day long up there,” she said. “It was a beautiful and amazing experience.”
